POWELL, Wyo. - The employees of Northwest College invite the public to ask questions of the five candidates running for a seat on the NWC Board of Trustees at a 7 p.m. Candidate Forum Thursday, Oct. 14, in Room 70 of the Fagerberg Building on campus.

Dean Bruce, an assistant professor of business/accounting who also heads the NWC Faculty Organization (FO), said the FO invited college employees in each constituency group (Administrative Staff, Classified Staff and Professional Staff) to join in sponsoring the forum.

“We’re soliciting written questions from across campus,” Bruce said, “to send to the candidates three days prior to the forum. We’re asking community members to ask their questions during the forum. This will give the audience an opportunity to see how each candidate evaluates and responds to questions in advance, as well as to those presented spontaneously.”

On Monday, Oct. 11, the list of advance questions will be posted to the Oct. 14 Candidate Forum entry in the college’s online calendar.

Verbal acceptances have been received from all five candidates: Kim Dillivan  and Rick LaPlante and incumbents Carolyn Danko and Jim Vogt, all of Powell, and from incumbent John Housel of Cody, who is running unopposed. Most have also responded with a written confirmation of attendance.

The hour-long moderated forum will conclude with refreshments.
