POWELL, Wyoming — One Northwest College student this fall claims Libya as her home. She’ll share personal impressions and general information about her native country in a 7 p.m. program Monday, Oct. 26, in the Yellowstone Building Conference Center on campus.

Recognized since 2012 as the home of the Benghazi attack, Libya claims a long, rich history touched by Berbers, Phoenicians, Persians, the Spanish and Ottoman empires and an Italian occupation that ended during World War II.

The program features a multimedia presentation about the country’s culture and traditions and concludes with a sampling of Libyan pasta and meatballs.

Admission is free.
