POWELL, Wyo. -  Kathy Wise, a computer specialist at Worland High School, will teach a two-night desktop publishing class titled "Brochures, Flyers, Business Cards and more!!" Tuesday and Thursday, May 12 and 14, at the Northwest College Worland Center. The noncredit class runs from 6:30-8:30 p.m. both nights.

Wise will show participants how to create a variety of promotional collaterals that are used in building a greater professional presence.

"By creating their own letterhead, invoices, brochures, flyers and business cards," Wise said, "businesses are able to market and display their products or services over a wide area more affordably and effectively. Plus they can almost instantly make consumers aware of changes in personnel, products, additional services, prices, business hours, business location, sales and special offerings, all at a minimal cost to the business."

Participants will also learn how to create a database for mailing labels and how to design attention-getting flyers for yard/garage sales or to sell a car or other personal items.

The only prerequisite is a basic computer knowledge and a comfortable familiarity with using a computer mouse. Cost is $40.
