POWELL, Wyoming — Cody, are you ready for some futball? The Northwest College Soccer Teams will play scrimmages in Cody Saturday, Aug. 15, against the Rocky Mountain College varsity teams.

The Trapper Women Team take the field at 5 p.m. in the Spike Vannoy Memorial Stadium (Cody High School football complex). The men follow at 7 p.m.

“We’d love to see all the Yellowstone Fire Soccer players and their families come out for this,” said NWC Soccer Coach Rob Hill, who holds a fondness for the program as its first director/coach.

On top of watching college-level play, fans will be treated to special halftime entertainment featuring kids’ competitions, prizes, t-shirt giveaways and more.

This will also be the first opportunity for Cody residents to see CHS graduates Sami Heimer and Raven Johnson in action as college soccer players.

Hill said the Rocky Mountain College teams are always “very tough,” ensuring exciting games. Their men’s team qualified for nationals last year and will be bringing their A game to Cody.

Admission to both NWC Cody soccer games is free.
