The 35th Annual Northwest Jazz Festival is a noncompetitive performance opportunity for vocal and instrumental jazz groups at all levels of proficiency. For two days, high quality assessment and instruction will be provided by respected jazz educators in a positive and constructive learning environment which encourages young musicians and teachers to grow through camaraderie and musical exchange.
A highlight of the festival is the Tuesday evening concert featuring Vertical Voices and the Dana Landry Quartet. The concert begins at 7 p.m. in the Powell High School Auditorium. The Wyoming All-State Jazz Choir kicks off the evening performances.
Concert tickets cost $28 and can be purchased by calling 307-254-6425 or stopping by Room 16 of the Nelson Performing Arts Center on the NWC campus.
The Northwest Jazz Festival is supported in part by a grant from the Wyoming Arts Council through funding from the Wyoming State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.
