College involvements?
I’m a member of the Dance Ministry team. I am also a mentor for new incoming students of intercultural backgrounds.

Why do you like Northwestern?
My favorite thing I like about Northwestern are the classes offered and the professors. There are tons of classes that you can take that are all very interesting. The professors are also great and have a lot of knowledge and wisdom. Getting to know them is very meaningful because they not only want to teach you but have a relationship with you also.

Favorite Professors?
My favorite professors would be Dr. Garry Morgan and Dr. Harvey Martin. Dr. Morgan was my professor for World Religions and he was very knowledgeable and wise in what he taught. The class was very meaningful.

Dr. Harvey Martin was my professor for Bible Study Methods. He really helped the class to further our own studies of the Bible. He knew how to joke around and how to also be serious. The things he taught me in class about studying the Bible will continue on throughout my life.

Favorite classes?
My favorite classes so far would have to be World Religions and Bible Study Methods. I really loved taking those two classes and have learned so much from them. The professors were amazing and the students in the classes were great also.

Favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus would have to be the Ark. The Ark is a 24-hours-a-day, 7-days a week prayer room in the Student Center that students can go into and pray. It’s a place where I feel I can go whenever I want and have no worries about people interrupting or being bothered by the world. I’m glad that Northwestern has a place like this because with all the commotion that college life can bring, this is a quiet place where people can go and calm their hearts and talk to the Lord.

NWC service experience?
My favorite service project would be, Feed My Starving Children. I have been there twice with people from school. Once with my freshmen orientation group and another time with students in the Christian Ministry department. We made a new record for groups that had been packaging food, which was very exciting.

"Before I came to Northwestern, I..."
… was just a girl who knew about Jesus and believed He was my Savior. I did not have a strong connection with Him and did not seek Him as I should have.

"Since I've been at Northwestern, I..."
…have grown so much in the Lord and have learned so much more about who He is. My relationship with Him has become real and has grown stronger. I have come to a better understanding about what it means to live a life that brings Him all the glory and to know that everything in the Bible is important and true.

"To me, a Northwestern College educations means..."
…getting one of the best learning experiences one could receive. Northwestern really prepares us for our majors and at the same time provides us with classes to study the Bible. The professors really know the subjects they are teaching and they are there not only just to teach but to also build a relationship with the students. The education that Northwestern has given me is worth a lot I am glad to be here where learning is a priority.

Plans after graduation?
I am planning to go into full-time ministry. Although I do not know what specific position I will be playing in God’s kingdom, I am trusting in the Lord and I am sure that He will show me where He wants me to go and will open doors for me. Northwestern has prepared me to walk with the Lord and to know Jesus and His word so that I can be a disciple of His and reach out to the world and tell people about Jesus.
