Iyare Oronsaye

Assistant Professor of Art & Graphic Design
Coordinator of the Digital Media Arts program

Prior to coming to Northwestern College, Iyare Oronsaye worked at Bradley University serving as a consultant and mentor to the faculty and students in the development and production of an animated short film. During his stint at Bradley, he also assisted the chair of the Art Department in the creation of a 3D Animation curriculum.

About his journey as an artist, Iyare says, “I learned early on that one of the most important things for anyone who has the desire to get into animation is extensive knowledge of traditional techniques. Whether it is animating with a pencil or a computer, the fundamental principles always apply... I have committed myself to becoming a good animator by working on different projects and look forward to other animation challenges and successes on future projects."

Outside of the classroom, Iyare enjoys yoga, basketball and outdoor activities in general. And, as you might expect, he spends plenty of time watching animated films and Saturday morning cartoons.
