Why Northwestern?
In sixth grade, my teacher had us write down our goals and predictions for our futures. One of mine was to attend Northwestern College and become an elementary teacher. Years later, when the time came to choose a school, Northwestern still at the top of my list...even though teaching was not. There's always been something about the school that has made it feel like home.
Involvements
Guardian Angels, Admissions Ambassador, Office of Alumni Relations, and in the past, WVOE radio, The Column (school newspaper), Intramural Volleyball
Favorite class
Most definitely Professor Trouten's "Introduction to Journalism." I have never been overly confident in my writing, and this class really stretched me to work on it...also...Professor Trouten's silly jokes and his wife's coffee cake every Friday made my experience that much better!
Best NWC-sponsored missions/service/travel experience
Painting my way through freshman orientation for our service project.
Best place on campus
I love Naz Chapel! If you want to see something that can take your breath away, here's the place to go. Everything about this chapel is beautiful!
“I’ll never forget…”
I'll never forget rollerskating night over freshman orientation...it is where I met some of my best friends! Plus...I tried rollerskating for the first time, and even did the limbo!
“To me, NWC means…”
A small survival guide to life. Northwestern desires to prepare our hearts and minds so that we may live our lives to the fullest for the One who has given to us so abundantly, and remember what really is important in life.
After graduation…
I would love to either get a job at a college/university working in a position of public relations, or work for a nonprofit organization that benefits kids!
