Each student will receive an envelope from the Center for Distance Education that includes a Welcome Letter and Library Letter. Students who are new to NWC will also receive a New Student Letter, which will arrive separately.

Welcome Letter
The Welcome Letter contains important information about your course including deadlines and billing details. The letter also contains an inventory list of everything that should be included in Step Two. It is very important that you read the information printed on this sheet.

Library Letter
The Library Letter contains valuable information about the resources available to you through our library and Extended Campus Library Service. You will need the Barcode Number listed at the top of the letter for online access to materials.

New Student Letter
Students who are new to Northwestern will receive an additional letter containing their Student ID number, NWC email address, and username and password. This information is necessary to successfully complete a course. This letter will arrive separately from the Welcome Letter and Library Letter.
