Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

This application needs to be submitted in order to calculate your financial need for your college education. It is used to apply for federal, state, and Northwestern College financial aid. Northwestern College's school code is 002371.

Financial Aid Comparison Form

Use this form to help you compare the bottom-line cost of a Northwestern education to the cost of other colleges you're considering.

Dependent Students
If your Free Application for Federal Student Aid is selected for verification and you are a dependent student, you and your parent(s) will need to complete this form in order to receive financial aid. In this process, Northwestern will be comparing information from your application with signed copies of your and your parent(s)' Federal tax forms, W-2 forms, or other financial documents.

Parental & Student Appeal

The Department of Education gives us limited authority to make adjustments to a student's eligibility when circumstances arise that are out of the control of the parent/student. If a parent/student feels that they have an appealable situation, this form should be completed and returned to the Financial Aid Office.

Northwestern Scholarship Applications

Honors Scholarships are available to students who have completed at least one semester at Northwestern. The application process takes place during fall semester for the following academic year. A link to the scholarship application is available through the student portal from mid-October through the end of November. Questions regarding Honors Scholarships should be directed to the Stewardship Coordinator at stewardship@nwc.edu.

Off-Campus Studies Form

A student interested in applying for financial aid for a period of time in which he or she will be studying off-campus, must complete this application. The student must also complete the regular application process for financial aid at Northwestern. Summer studies are considered with the front of a school year. Submission of this form does not guarantee assistance is available. This form is for students seeking a day-school degree.

International Student Financial Aid Application

This form is the application for International Students to receive financial assistance to attend Northwestern College. Funds are awarded on the basis of financial need. This form is for students seeking a day school degree who are not resident aliens.

Northwestern College Dependency Status Appeal

The Federal Government considers students between the ages of 17 and 24 to be dependent, which means the student must provide their parents information when filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). However, you may appeal your dependency status if there is a situation that has created involuntary separation between you and your parents.
