Partnerships

Institutional Priority: Partnerships
  • FLYING TO NEW HORIZONS
NWC entered into an important new partnership this year with Choice Aviation in Cody. The resulting Aeronautics Program will help prepare a trained workforce to meet an anticipated pilot shortage in the growing aviation industry.

  • MOVING FORWARD WITH CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT
Following a successful three-year pilot project, NWC marked its first year of commitment to concurrent enrollment with a 99% growth in the number of students who take NWC classes on their high school campus.

  • ROUNDING UP AG PRODUCERS
Proving its sustainability, the Spring Roundup returned after a successful inaugural in 2011. Rocky Mountain ag producers gathered on Northwest College’s campus in mid-January to listen to the best agricultural minds in the region, plus hear Baxter Black perform in person during Spring Roundup 2012. The two-day event focused on risk management and offered a slate of well-known speakers.

  • EXPLORING CAREERS
Nearly 385 Big Horn Basin freshman and sophomore high school girls gathered on campus for the annual Young Women’s Career Fair. Sponsored by the Wyoming Council for Women’s Issues, the fair explored occupations/careers seen as nontraditional for women.
