  • Emblem is an agricultural community which resulted from two of the first efforts at irrigating land in the Big Horn Basin.
  • Emblem was founded in the 1896 when Solon Wiley' Big Horn Basin Development Company brought irrigation to the Emblem Bench.
  • Emblem was settled almost exclusively by German Lutheran, who named the town Germania. Anti-German sentiment during World War I caused them to change the name to Emblem.
